How to store documentation in Stockly

This is a rule we try to respect as much as we can at Stockly. Building knowledge in your private space, on Notion or Google Drive, is quite dangerous for the organization for several reasons:

1 - It encourages unstructured notes as you will be the only seeing them and you may think โ€œItโ€™s ok, I will understand myself when I reread this laterโ€.

2 - It prevents the others from accessing this knowledge.

3 - It encourage chaos as it makes information less easy to find later, even for yourself. If your notes / documents are not in the right place inside the shared space, then itโ€™s almost as if they were lost for ever.

โ—๏ธ Nothing must live in your Notion Private space, except:your To-do list,your non Stockly-related personal notes (about your holidays, ideas for a gift to your best friend โ€ฆ)

โ—๏ธNothing should be in the โ€œsharedโ€ section (meaning itโ€™s just shared with one or two colleagues), but rather in the right Teamspace, in the right page, and restricted to the right sub-groups if the document is confidential.

โ—๏ธIf you have to take notes to prepare a meeting, create a subpage or a toggle on an existing documentation, rather than in your Private space.

โ—๏ธ All pages must directly be created in the teamspace. If itโ€™s work in progress, simply write โ€œ๐Ÿšง WIP ๐Ÿšงโ€ in the title so that the team knows you are still working on it.

We believe this is key to build a scalable knowledge base.
